2017 Favorite Things

favorite things 2017

I cannot believe the twins are turning one this month! After all the sleepless nights and tears (the twins' and mine), we're finally near the one year mark! In celebration of this milestone, I wrote a list of my favorite things that I used during my first year of being a twin mommy. I wish I could do an Oprah and tell all of you that I will be giving each one of you all of my favorite things but for now, I'll just share my list and hope you can find something you like too.

wink ultra bikini
This binder helped me fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans after just a month of using it. It also provided great back support that helped me stand straight and move around better. What more can you ask for?

I applied this on my tummy twice a day after giving birth (then put on my Wink binder). It worked like magic and helped tighten the skin around my post-baby belly.

Postpartum hair fall really got me. But after only one week of using Zenutrients gugo shampoo, I already noticed less breakage. Now at almost one year postpartum, my hair is growing back and is looking nice and thick.

The fabric and fit of this dress is so great that I was able to use it during pregnancy and a few months postpartum. I really admire Kate Middleton's style and this dress reminded me of the fuchsia knot maternity dress she wore in her first official pictures with Prince George.

This lipstick is perfect for everyday wear. It keeps me from looking washed up when all I can manage is a bit of moisturiser and lipstick before leaving the house.

Bloom swaddles
I just love Bloom swaddles from Baby Company. They helped get the twins to sleep when they were newborns and now that we no longer swaddle, we use them to cover the twins' strollers when they're asleep or as a blanket for cold car rides among other things. They're super soft and come in really nice colors and designs that I'm tempted to use them on myself as a scarf!

The twins wear their Uniqlo mesh onesies all day, everyday. I love that they're stretchy around the neck and shoulders which makes dressing up easy. They're also soft and cool which makes them perfect for our tropical weather.

Dr. Browns bottles
After trying different bottles, this was the only one that helped Audrey with her colic and spit up issues. Washing can take a few minutes longer because of the extra parts that make up the bottle's vent system but it's worth it.

This diaper bag has plenty of pockets which makes it easy to organise and locate the twins' needs. It has plenty of space yet still looks compact. Its neutral color and design also make it possible for me and Joey to share one diaper bag.

The twins love their Lamaze soft books. Antonino has Panda's Pals and Audrey has Tilly Twinklewings. Both books have different textures and make crunchy, crinkly sounds that always keep them entertained.
