There is nothing sweeter in the world than a baby's laugh.
It just brightens your day making it impossible not to laugh along. Because of
this, Joey and I always try to make the twins laugh through silly sounds, funny
faces and of course, tickles. Tickles are a guaranteed laugh inducer for babies
which is why we love reading Ten Tiny Tickles, by Karen Katz to the twins.
This Is One

One year with our two wins! The past year was a blur of
exhausting, scary, stressful, amazing, happy and magical moments. I know it's
been a year but I always find myself thinking, where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday Joey and I were only
looking at Audrey and Antonino through their incubators in the NICU and now we
suddenly have two little humans who are growing and changing every single day.
On the statistical side, I'm really happy because the twins
more than tripled their respective birth weights. Yay! But aside from that, I would like to
share with you what they have been up to at one year old.
Our First Family Portrait
Sunday, January 21, 2018
When I was pregnant with Audrey and Antonino, I searched for
newborn twin photo ideas. I really loved the look of those wrapped shots where
twin babies are posed really close together as well as the shots of one parent
cradling both twins in their arms. But when I was approaching my 34th week of pregnancy, I started to go into labor. Because of this, the twins were born three weeks early so they had to stay in the NICU. When
they were finally discharged, we were instructed to go on an extended
quarantine at home to avoid exposing them to unnecessary germs. Needless to
say, a portrait session was the last thing on our minds.
How to Plan A Children's Birthday Party In One Day
Sunday, January 14, 2018
Last month, the twins celebrated their first birthday. I know this post is late but the past month has been bananas for us. The twins' birthday falls during the Holiday season so we had to deal with their birthday, Christmas shopping, Christmas parties and New Year's celebrations all at the same time. Oh and did I mention we went through three hospital confinements in October and November, and were (and still are) yaya-less?
New Year's Eve With One-Year-Old Twins
Sunday, January 7, 2018
I put a lot of pressure on myself to do something really
grand this year for New Year's Eve because it's the twins' first NYE with the
family. Their actual first NYE was in 2017 and was spent at the NICU because
they were born 3 weeks early. Obviously, we didn't toast with champagne because
I was still trying to breastfeed and we were not really in a celebratory mood
because we were anxious to bring the twins home. Here's our first family photo
taken on NYE 2017 by our NICU nurse.

The past year has been crazy and challenging but at the same time amazing and rewarding. I guess as first time parents, Joey's and my greatest achievement is keeping the twins alive for one whole year! I'm also happy I was able to document our experiences by starting this blog. So as we say goodbye to 2017 and kick of what will surely become a very exciting year of raising twin toddlers, let's recap the top 10 posts of 2017 from 1 to 10:
