A few weeks ago we had a family staycation at Seda Vertis North . We were able to book a Club Room at a good price thanks to Seda's All
Wrapped Up Holiday promo. When we arrived at the hotel, we were led to the 23rd
floor where Club Room guests can check in. Check in was super easy and the
staff was lovely! After checking in, we were told that afternoon tea would be
served in a few minutes so we decided to hang out at the lounge a bit and wait
for tea to be served.
After munching on delicious croissants and cake, we went to
our room. When we arrived, Audrey and Antonino were so excited for the new toy
on the bed: a Seda teddy bear (aptly named Sedy)! My mom also booked a room of
her own which came with a teddy bear too so don't worry, the twins didn't spend
the rest of our staycation fighting over one teddy bear (#twinmomproblemsolved
Thanks, LaMom).
Audrey and Antonino ran around the room, climbed the sofa,
looked out the window and of course, jumped on the bed.
Once we got settled, it was time for pizza! You should have
seen the twins' eyes light up the moment they saw the big plate of pizza before
them!
After pizza, we played a little then took a big family nap
(with the bears).
By 6PM it was time to go up to the Club Lounge again for
some cocktails. The kids were still asleep so we asked our all-around helper
who also came with us to watch them for an hour. Yay for big people time!
Aside from the usual cheese, pastries and finger food, they
also served pasta and my favorite, grilled salmon skewers. Yum!
Afterward, we went back to our room and once the kids woke
up, we ordered room service for dinner. One cool thing about our room was that
it had this low bedside table which was the perfect height for toddlers. The
twins used it for eating, coloring and playing.
Then we just hung out in the room and when it was time for
bed, we read a few board books and put the twins to bed with their bears plus Mickey, and Minnie.
The next morning, we had the option to either go to Misto
restaurant at the ground floor or the Club Lounge for breakfast. Both served
buffet breakfast but we chose to go the the Club Lounge because it was less
crowded. In parent talk this means less waiting time and less chances for your
toddlers to get "hangry!"
The twins had cereal and pancakes while we had eggs, rice,
bacon and sausages.
After breakfast, we checked out the children's play
area which the twins really enjoyed.
When it started to drizzle, we went back
to our room. Audrey and Antonino were getting a bit sleepy so we decided to
just get room service for lunch. The twins fell asleep a few minutes after we
placed our order so Joey and I got to enjoy this delicious cheeseburger while
it was still hot!
The twins woke up an hour before check-out and ate their
lunch while Joey and I packed up our stuff.
Having a staycation in the city I grew up and lived in majority of my life was a first for me but it definitely won't be the last. I loved that there was no pressure to go out and see the sights and we were just able to relax and have a wonderful experience at the hotel. We hope to be back soon!
